Cabañas Andina was started up in l986 by Norberto Gaspar Schroh, born in Argentina - of German descent, and Maxine Leila Sorby de Schroh, born in Kashmir and of English parents. Gaspar was made an honorary game warden in recognition of his woek in connection with the local wild life and especially with that of getting the system of “Catch and Release” implemented in Patagonia .
